AB strategies works across a spectrum of industries/sectors. The common thread is that our client companies are highly focused on the professional development of their leaders, managers and teams because they know that people are their most important asset.
Our expertise is working with human-centered companies on improving communication skills, management skill building and team dynamics. We do this through individual and team coaching, and facilitated learning programs.
AB strategies offers services to nonprofits experiencing rapid growth and change. We have extensive experience in leadership and team coaching, manager skill development, offsite facilitation for staff and/or boards, and organizational assessments and restructuring advice.
Figuring out your next career move can be a stressful process. At the same time, it’s an opportunity to think about your life purpose, your personal values and strengths, and how they are integrated into a successful career search.
We have a flexible process: ranging from a comprehensive one for someone beginning to think about “what’s next?” to a highly targeted process for someone who wants assistance and support on the “nuts and bolts” of the job search.
Our approach is personalized for each client's needs. Clients drive the scheduling of sessions. Typically, we start off meeting bi-weekly and shift to less frequent meetings when clients are actively pursuing work opportunities. The client will be assigned homework activities between sessions. Finally, our package offers 24/7 access because AB strategies is your chief cheerleader and sounding board during this transition.
We describe our career transition approach as 4 phases, with some overlap between them:
What is my brand? We explore values, confirmed strengths, when you are “in the flow”, and the preferences and practical necessities that you have for your next career move. Outcomes include a personal branding statement and definition of the key elements that you require in your next role.
Where do I want to work? We explore (as relevant) sectors, industries, and companies. We delve into how to best research them, how to conduct the most effective informational interviews, and how to use your networks to the ultimate advantage to get you noticed by your preferred potential employers.
What is my tool kit? We ensure that your CV is compelling and that your cover letter template is strong and differentiates you from others. We hone your personal branding statement, and career storyboard.
How do I “block and tackle” to achieve my career goal? We help you develop a career search plan, we practice interviewing techniques and how to respond to a variety of interview questions, and we provide support during the search process.

BS, Head of HR, National Food Business, New York City
Our entire senior leadership team at our company absolutely adores Antonia. Her style, her honesty, and her perceptiveness are her greatest assets as an executive coach. She has helped our team learn about each other's work styles through the DiSC assessment system. She has shown us how to use the DiSC strategies to become a more effective and collaborative team, and she leaves all of our leaders wanting more 1-on-1 coaching sessions.
Personally, as an HR leader, she has inspired me to incorporate more and more team building sessions in our development strategies.
SE, Nonprofit Executive, New York State
Antonia not only helped me grow as a leader and manager, she helped me turn my team around. When we started my team that was hindered by a lack of trust and cooperation, and by the time we completed the coaching sessions, I had a happier, more productive and collaborative team. I can draw a straight line from Antonia's expert coaching to better outcomes for my organization, and am extremely grateful to have had the chance to work with her.

I met Antonia through the Financial Women’s Association. Antonia successfully coached our group of four and created a positive dynamic amongst us. Her coaching guided us through goal setting for personal and professional development, assessment of our progress, accountability and eventually accomplishment of the goals. I was privileged to have Antonia as my coach.

Transitions toward retirement are both exhilarating and unnerving. Often there seem to be too many paths to explore. And the key is to develop a process that helps you hone in on the very best options – even as those options are not the most obvious. Antonia has painstakingly helped me develop that process and to really think critically about the pathways best suited to my long-term goals. She is all you want in a coach- thoughtful, smart, inquisitive, creative and persistent. She has been an enormous resource for me.
