Meet Antonia

Antonia Bowring started AB strategies to support leaders to achieve positive, lasting change in behavior for themselves, their teams and their organizations. In her work she draws upon her 25 plus years of experience as a business/nonprofit leader and management consultant, and her training as a coach. Antonia is recognized for building trust with her clients early in the coaching process through her passion, pragmatism and humor. She is laser focused on the personal change process of her clients as she assists them to increase their awareness, and change their thoughts and behaviors to create more success.

Antonia has worked with private sector clients such as Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, The Durst Organization, Federated Department Stores, International Farming Corporation, Momofuku Milk Bar, JP Morgan Chase, and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

Antonia has over 10 years experience in professional services, both at a major management consulting firm and as an independent consultant. She has first-hand experience with unique challenges facing professional services firms such as talent development and retention; and managerial skill building in a high-pressured, time sensitive, extreme client focused environment. She coaches lawyers on communication skills, productivity issues, and works with lawyers whose roles and responsibilities are in transition.

Antonia has almost 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector including a variety of leadership roles, both in the C-suite and as a board member. She has advised a diverse group of organizations including Acumen, Financial Women’s Association, International Rescue Committee, Kings County Hospital Center, Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, Stone Barns Center, Women Moving Millions, and YWCA New York City.

Antonia coaches experienced professionals through career transitions to help them lead more purposeful and fulfilling lives.

Previously, she led Women’s Initiative for Self-Employment in New York City as Executive Director and was Chief Operating Officer at the Open Space Institute. She is a board member of Hot Bread Kitchen and Change Food.

Antonia holds a B.A. in Political Science, M.Phil. in Development Economics and an M.B.A. She is an ICF certified executive coach, holds a certificate in executive coaching from NYU, and is a certified health coach. She uses Hogan, DiSC and 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team assessments, and is certified in all three. She recently completed Level 3 Improv.
